Hi everyone, I would like to share (my journey to Thailand with you) with you my journey to Thailand. I love to travel around, see new things, meet new people, learn from other cultures, go diving (sailing??) in the sea... So you can see this blog as a guide for a journey to Thailand or if you never have been to (on) a real big trip, as a guide for planning a backpackers trip to another land (country). I was with my ex girlfriend a little bit more than a month there . It was wonderful there and I´m sure i will go there again.

In the beginning of every backpacker trip you need to check some necessary things:
  • Where will I go?
  • How long can i be there without mummy?(what is mummy?)
  • Will i go alone, with your sweetheart, with a friend?
  • I have to add this to "i will go alone": "Do i need some condoms?" , there is only one right answer, yes you absolutely need it and don´t be dumb, use it!
  • How much money do i need?
  • Will i sleep in a Hostel, Hotel, beachside (yeah it sounds weird, but many backpackers were sleeping at the beach in tents)
  • What do i need there --> nothing, only your personal documents. So i have to confess that i failed in this point, my back bag was so heavy in the end of our trip that i nearly burned this (the)fucking thing.
  • If you go with a girl you have to plan some extra space, they will buy so much unnecessary things till nobody can carry anything more. This is why I failed in the point before.
After we learned the basic points, this is our story:

I wanted to go to this trip with my girlfriend (now she is my ex) and we arranged to go to Thailand.
So far so good we thought, but we hadn´t been so far away and we hadn´t had any idea how to plan such a journey like this. What we definitely knew, we were going as backpackers, because this is the way to see as many things as possible and we were able to take our own path. If you want to see other cultures you need the necessery time, so we both spoke to our company´s and we arranged a break of for a little bit more than a month. We started our trip in summer 2013:

At first we flew 14 hours from Munich to Bangkok:

Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and a really huge city with about 9 million people living there.
We landed in Bangkok, all was so big and new, so much people on one little place. I never saw so much (many) cars and mopeds on the road like there. The best things to visit there is the golden big budda (and this golden budda is really big), the palace of the king, the MBK shopping center (it´s so big you aren´t be able to see the hole center in one day) and the rivers around and in the city (there are markets on the river, it´s really cool to see and the thai´s live there too). And you have to dive into the night live of Bangkok, the thai people are all so polite and we played the hole night funny games with them, if you are able to beat them they will pay you everything you have(drank up to this point) drunken  till this point, if you lose you have to pay them a beer. Nobody is able to beat them, trust me :D or we were so drunken that we couldn´t beat them, I´m not really sure about that.

After a few days in the capital city of Thailand we took the train to Chumphon. It is a really far way and it took us about 10 hours to get there. The trains and buses are in an horrible condition and at some critical points such as mountain ways we were a little bit scared. The reason why we got there was the fast high speed catarmaran, it is the fastest way to get to an island Koh Tao.

From Bangkok to Chumphon
High speed catermaran

After 3 hours on this high speed nutshell we reached Koh Tao, it´s a really small island with 2500 inhabitants. The only way to get there is by boat. The first thing you have to do on an small island like that: Go and get a moped, drive around and stay where do (wherever) you want. It has been the most beautiful island I ever had been. A little island with a amazing green environment and a clear cyan blue sea. The reason why we went there was to make a diving course. So Koh Tao is a great diving spot for beginners and for experts. We spent there several days under the palms in an apartment on stilts with hanging around, diving, party and swimming...

Our next stop was Koh Nang Yuan, it´s was the smallest island we had been on our trip. This island is so small (that no streets, mopeds or bicycles exist) it doesn´t exist any streets or mopeds, or bicycles. There are (18 living) living 18  inhabitans. We got there by a fisher boat and stayed there for 3 days. Notice, if you are in the near of this island, you have to visit it or you will miss a really great place!

We left the real quit island and went to Koh Panghan. After two really quite islands, we wanted to see the big full moon party on Koh Panghan. So we took the high speed nutshell to this island, we landed on the west side of the island and travelled with a jeep through the jungle to the east side. The weirdest thing was the size of the island, after two little and readily comprehensible island we landed on this big landscape. Full moon party is great, you can get there from every place on the island, fastest way is by speedboat. On the party you have to colour yourself up with colourful paints, nobody knows why, but everybody was doing it, so we also painted us up (ourselves). There are many backpackers from everywhere of the world and it´s great to get to know other people and cultures and to hear what they had experienced on their trip. We needed holidays in our holidays after the full moon party and we chilled there for some days. (what do you mean? a holiday after that holiday? but why did you chill there. Strange sentence)
The way strayed through Koh Panghan

We left Koh Panghan with our lovely high speed nutshell and drove to Koh Samui. I don´t want to talk much about Koh Samui, because it was so touristic there. It was not so bad, but it wasn´t the same "ohh Thailand is so great and all thai´s are so polite" feeling, it was more the " I want to make money with the dump tourists" feeling. So we visited some interesting temples there and left after 3 days.

Koh Samui wasn´t so good as we thought and we were happy to go to Mu Ko Ang Thong Marine National Park. It is a national park and you can stay there for some days if you want. If you were (are) near this national park you have to visit it, and if you have some time,  than (then) stay there for some days. It´s just awesome there, so many things to discover in such an untouched and natural world.

This was one of the greatest things i just (just means present perfect) saw in my life. After spending great days, we left the island and took a boat back to Koh Samui. From there we flew to Bangkok and from Bangkok we flew home.
It was a great trip, that´s all i can say. Thailand is one of the most beautiful places ever. I hope i can see Thailand again, to make another road through the land.

I hope you like my guide and just ask me if you want to know something exactly.
